The Cottage Kyte Green is located 1 mile from the market town of Henley-in-Arden, which is situated on the A3400 trunk road and 7 miles north of Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare's Birthplace, and 16 miles south of Birmingham - England's second city. Henley-in-Arden is a medieval market town dating back to 1245 when a charter was granted to Simon de Monfort to hold weekly markets in the town. The site where his castle stood, known as the Mount, is open to the public. The town boasts over 150 listed buildings with the mile long high street being a conservation area. Notable amongst them are the Guild Hall, a timber framed building standing to the north of St. John's Church, one of two churches. The other being St. Nicholas Church which dates back to Norman Times. The town also has a Lord of the Manor and active Court Leet which meets regularly.
